About Us

The denomination we are part of is affectionately known as the APC, which stands for Associated Presbyterian Churches. We are a reformed, psalm-singing church, which came into existence in 1989. We have five congregations in Scotland and one in Canada. We seek to submit to the Bible as our supreme standard for all that we do as a church and for how we live our individual lives. Our subordinate standard is the historic Westminster Confession of Faith, which we believe is the best summary of what the Bible teaches.

In 1993, the congregation called Rev George Macaskill to be their first minister, where he laboured faithfully until his retirement in 2012 (although he still remains with us as an assessor elder).
